Our intent is to make your reading experience more enjoyable, and allow you to see all that is in the CWR without having to scroll through every section. We also have a new color scheme. We welcome your comments.

You will find our Feature Article on the CWR Student Roundtable interesting and informative.
And, our Leaders, Mentors, and Role Models includes both information about anger management, and how to prepare for a career as a therapist.
We hope that you enjoy this month's CWR. We wish all of our students that are taking a break for the summer a very exciting and enjoyable summer. And we wish those of you who are in summer school much success.

The Empowered Student - Update
By Donell Edwards
In our December/January issue, we featured Part 1 of "I Am My Brother's Keeper," honoring our empowered students, twin brothers Jermaine and Jermar Jackson from Muskegon, Michigan.
That issue chronicled how Jermaine and Jermar left their home and enrolled at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, and the challenges they faced in and out of the classroom.
The photo above of Jermaine, his wife Tandalla, and his daughter Trinity, was taken at Jermaine's recent graduation from Indiana University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, and is starting his own insurance company.
Congratulations Jermaine.

It's A Reader's World
It's A Reader's World is still a work in progress. This month our CWR Librarian, Ms. Emma Harris, selected to review Down Home With the Neely's: A Southern Family Cookbook. My first thought was why are we reviewing a cookbook? However, you will discover, as I did, this is much more than a cookbook. To enter into the It's A Reader's World area and read Ms. Harris' review, Click Here. |
